The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was Joseph Hewitt, who did
thus comment on AMOS and VGA monitors on the night of 30-Oct-97:
-> Is there any mode promotion utility/system patch avaliable that would
-> allow AMOS programs to be used on a VGA monitor?
Hehe, im just reminising this problem I had over here. I couldnt use AMOS
for three months because of this problem. I tried everything under the sun,
but there isnt a software patch anywhere which will do it, I tried around
20 altogether.
The only way to be able to do it, is have a box which electronically
converts the signal outside of the amiga, as the screenmodes AMOS uses are
not promotable.
